As many of you will have heard by now, Glen Echo Family Nudist Park in
southern Ontario announced it was closing on October 1st. However,
members have fought the eviction in Ontario's Landlord & Tenant Board.
The Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) protects tenants in the province
of Ontario. In yesterday's ruling, the board's adjudicator ruled that
Glen Echo members were tenants and therefore entitled to the
protection of the RTA. While this does not prevent the closure of Glen
Echo, it will likely delay it and make the eviction of the members
much more difficult.
