This is the second of several messages about important (and unique)
events coming from the FCN.

--------

A short time ago, we wrote:

"What would you do if you could have a portion of your monthly expenses
on food, gasoline, and other times donated to the FCN *without any
additional expense on your part*? I'll tell you what many FCN directors
did: they enrolled in the program!"

We also listed some things the FCN could do with more funding.

All you do to help is sign up, and a long-time charity service does the
rest. You shop for your groceries etc. as you usually do.

The charity service issues cards or certificates which you use as cash,
at most grocery store chains in Canada, most gas station chains, and
some drugstores. How you pay is the only difference, not how much.

You pay for those cards/certificates by withdrawal from your bank
account. This is completely safe; the FCN has verified it, and its
directors are using it!

----

The website of the government-sponsored organization running this is:
<http://www.charityservices.ca>, which I will refer to as CCS. The FCN
is registered with it.

Please do the following:

*1* Watch the video:
http://www.charityservices.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15

*2* You need to commit a minimum of $250 in *grocery* spending monthly
to join the program. Purchasing gasoline or similar fuel is optional, on
top of the grocery purchases.

*3* The relevant store chains are listed on the participant form:
https://www.charityservices.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17

Note that some non-grocery stores are listed in the grocery section,
such as Tim Hortons and Shoppers Drug Mart.

*4* Please fill out the participant form. And submit it on CCS's website
by the 20th of July if you can. (Don't use the .doc version to send as
an e-mail attachment.)

Each participant may designate only one organization. Please write the
full "Federation of Canadian Naturists" at the top, opposite "Charity/
Non-profit group you are supporting."

*5* You use a card like cash until its balance reaches zero. The
certificates are simply used for their face value, and you can get up to
$5 in change from them.

Gas cards may be swiped at stations like credit cards.

*6* Each month, CCS sends you the card/s and/or certificates you ordered
when you signed up. They come by insured mail. You may change your order
by phone, e-mail, or fax before the 20th of any month (for the next month).

*7* Each monthly card and certificate you receive is valid for *two
years.* Anyone may use yours (household members, friends, etc.). Treat
them like cash!

*8* Please note the options and choose accordingly:

8A. The options to pay for the cards/certificates from CCS are by pre-
authorized payment (bank withdrawals) or by cheque (postdated cheques).
Credit cards are not an option.

8B. Bank withdrawals are the most convenient. Please indicate "Pre-
authorized payment," then "Full amount on 1st of month" if you can.
Payment of bank charges for multiple withdrawals in a month cuts into
what the FCN receives.

----

That's all! Ask questions if you wish, of me (see below) or of
<service at charityservices.ca>; or phone them at 866-669-2276 or
519-669-1081 and ask for Heather Weber.

This is a great way to benefit the FCN monthly without spending any
additional money!

PLEASE SIGN UP BY JULY 20 if you can, to be eligible for the program in
early August. But the program is ongoing (until you cancel it). So if
you're late, you'll still be helping the FCN, just a month later.

If you sign up, please let us know that you did (no other details
needed), at the e-mail address: <editor at fcn.ca>.
